Puppet Shows and Other Entertainment Services

Are you planning a birthday party, social event, or even a festival? What could be more enjoyable and memorable than a fun-filled puppet show followed by a greeting from a soft, lovable, huggable costume animal character?

Do you work for an arts center, museum, library or other educational center? My shows are not only entertaining, but they also present good values and fun facts about wild animals. Match a puppet show with one of my realistic costume-puppet animal characters and you have the perfect learning experience for kids of all ages.

Here are some important things to know about when and where I can perform:

• I am currently doing performances on a part-time basis, so I will normally only be able to perform on weekends and on certain Mondays.
   
  
• I am based in Atlanta, Georgia, and I will do performances throughout the Greater Atlanta area. If you are not sure if you are within my range, just contact me and I'll let you know.

I am now focusing my business on walk-about character entertainment (both hand puppet and costume characters). However, I am maintaining two of my classic hand-puppet shows, The Tale of the Pig From South Bay and The Parable of the Lost Sheep for the indefinite future. I'm also working on new puppet based entertainment ideas and hope to be offering some new shows of a different style in the next year or two.

With these changes, however, I will no longer be offering puppetry workshops for children, but I will continue to do puppetry workshops geared towards adults and older teenagers.

The Tale of the Pig From South Bay

Poor little Penny Pig has gotten herself lost in the forest. Will any of the other animals in the forest be able to help her find her way back home, or will they all just lead her astray? Join Penny on her journey and see just how far she has to go to get back to the little town of South Bay. Filled with lots of adventure and fun rhyming passages throughout the story, this is a perfect show for younger audiences.

Puppet Character Meet-and-Greet

Who ever said that hand-puppet characters have to stay behind a puppet stage? Take one mouth puppet character with a fun, unique personality and voice, add a healthy dose of improvisation and even an occasional trick move, and watch the fun begin. I will escort a puppet character throughout your event space, greeting guests on the fly with simple but fun shtick that I customize to fit any situation. Choose from any of my large cast of puppet characters, and for appearances longer than one hour, consider inviting two or more puppet characters to make alternating appearances during your event.

Costume Character Meet-and-Greet

Can anything beat a friendly greeting from a lovable, huggable costume animal character? My unique costume characters are a combination of realistic body shaping and movement with a sweet appearance and soft-to-the-touch feel that make them big hits at any event. With so many characters to choose from, there's sure to be one that's perfect for any occasion.
 
Costume characters will pose for pictures, give out hugs and handshakes, do entertaining shtick, and in general help to create a feeling of fun and happiness wherever they go. All characters are capable of roaming throughout an event area for maximum coverage, and for events lasting more than three hours, consider inviting two different characters for even more excitement.

A Tour of the World of Puppets

In this workshop, the audience is introduced to ten different types of puppets with explanations given on how each one is built and performed. Includes numerous live demonstrations to show how the puppeteer brings each kind of character to life. A great way for any group to get an overview of the breadth and depth of the world of puppetry.

Hand Puppet Manipulation 101

In this workshop, the audience is introduced to the concepts of performing with glove and mouth puppets. Costume Character Performer Training

Contrary to popular belief, you can't put just anyone into a character costume and instantly have a good character. You need a well-trained performer in that costume if you want the character to make a positive impression on your target audience.
