Kevin Pittman and his Forest Friends

Puppet Characters

Sheldon with his Own Puppet

This is just a sample of the many puppet characters that I use in my puppet shows and character greetings. All of my characters are personally handcrafted creations, most taking at least forty hours to design and construct. This lengthy development process has one important benefit: it allows me to form a special bond with each character long before the puppet is ready to go out into the world. It is my sincere hope that my audiences will enjoy these characters every bit as much as I enjoy creating and performing them.

Savannah P. Fox

Savannah is the picture of southern grace and beauty. A southern belle born and raised next to a small plantation, Savannah grew up knowing what it means to be a fine southern lady -er- vixen. Of course, she's a fiery redhead, so she has a bit of southern spunk and spark in her personality as well.

Sheldon P. Foxworthy

Sheldon P. Foxworthy is the trademark character of Kevin Pittman and his Forest Friends. Born and bred in the deep south, Sheldon is a southern redneck stand-up comic much like his namesake. He loves such delicacies as homemade grits, corn bread, sweet iced tea and, of course, fried chicken. Be sure to ask about scheduling a dose of Red Fox Stand-up Comedy with your next booking!

Rocket J. Raccoon

Rocket J. Raccoon is a rascally old coon who loves the fine art of dumpster diving. If you see him wandering around a festival, be sure to say 'Hi!', but don't ask him where to eat, because he'll probably recommend his favorite trash can!

Flip-Flop the Lop

Flip-Flop the lop-eared bunny is a sweet, soft, silly, hyperactive little bunny. He loves to interact with people and he's always very "hoppy" to make new friends.

Be sure to visit Flip-Flop the Lop's Personal Page.

Mortimer J. Wolf

Although Mortimer J. Wolf is one of the stars of my current line of puppet shows, he is still a very down-to-earth timber wolf who is perfectly content to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. His one unusual trait is that he's a strict vegetarian, enjoying a diet of nuts and berries. While most of the other forest creatures may not trust him to stay away from meat, he managed to become good friends with one Gray Rabbit and one Hobbes Squirrel.

Rawr the Dragon

Little Rawr is just a baby dragon hatchling, only a few months out of his shell. He's still learning about the world, and has just begun to be able to say his name. He's as cute as they get, as far as dragons go, and he's sure to be a hit with just about any crowd

Joe E. Roo

Joe E. Roo is just a little joey, fresh out of his mother's pouch. With his happy and bouncy attitude and his Australian accent, he's sure to be a crowd pleaser wherever he goes.

Be sure to visit Joe E. Roo's Personal Page.

Jasper Jaguar

Jasper Jaguar is one cool cat who approaches life with a completely care-free attitude. Like all animals of the feline persuasion, his favorite activities are eating, sleeping, and grooming himself. With his deep green eyes and large soft paws, this big kitty would be a sure-fire hit at any event.

Be sure to visit Jasper Jaguar's Personal Page.

Harold the Haflinger Pony

Harold the Haflinger Pony is a favorite crowd pleaser who just loves to gallop through the brisk air of a large open field. Well, okay, maybe he doesn't get to many fields, but he'll take any chance he can get to have fun at a festival or birthday party. While he's too small to ride, he still loves people and is always looking for a new friend. With his trademark tremolo voice, you'll hear Harold coming long before you ever see him.

Kody the Kodiak Bear

This sweet old bear may be big, but he would never even harm a fly. All he really wants is to find his missing honeypot - if only he could remember where he left it! Ah, well, he'll just have to keep wandering around through local festivals, parties, and other events until he stumbles across it. If you see bear, be sure to say hi, for he's quite friendly and always eager to meet someone new.

Baaswell Sheep

Baaswell is crazy about Hollywood - his dream is to get a job as a counting sheep in one of those mattress commericals. He figures that he'd be a shoo-in since he already knows how to count. Until then, he spends his time entertaining in local events, hoping that his big break will come sooner than later. Baaswell is a bit of a competetive sheep, and in his spare time, he likes to play baaackgammon, baaadmitten and baaasketball.

Hobbes Squirrel

Hobbes the Squirrel is in many ways the exact opposite of his friend Gray Rabbit. Hobbes is very cautious and very polite, and definitely not one for adventure, for he'd much rather take the sure and safe route. Wherever he goes, he's likely to be nibbling on one his favorite foods: acorns. Hobbes is a supporting character in several of my current puppet shows, and he's a very good friend of both Gray Rabbit and Mortimer Wolf.

Gray Rabbit

He may look sweet and innocent, but don't let that fool you. Gray Rabbit is a clever little bunny with insight well beyond his years. He enjoys munching carrots, hopping through the forest, and hanging out with his best buddy, Mortimer Wolf. Because he is such an incredibly versatile actor, he has become the star of all of my current puppet shows.

Be sure to visit Gray Rabbit's Personal Page.

The Snow Rabbit

The Snow Bunny is the star of our magical winter holiday show, The Tale of the Snow Bunny. He's a very special little rabbit, but you'll have to see the show to find out just why he's so special.

Be sure to visit The Snow Rabbit's Personal Page.

Penelope Pig

Penelope Pig (known as Penny) is a sweet little thing who resides in the little town of South Bay. In fact, she even has her own show, The Tale of the Pig From South Bay that recounts one of her more perilous adventures.

B.B. the Blue Bird

Say hello to B.B. the Blue Bird, the world's happiest Blue Bird. B.B. just loves to fly through any big outdoor festival, spreading happiness and good cheer wherever she goes. Although she's too humble to admit it, she also loves any chance she gets to sing with her sweet southern belle voice. With her outgoing personality and those big, lovely eyes, how could anyone not like her?

Be sure to visit B.B. the Blue Bird's Personal Page.

The Snake

The snake is really a very nice fellow who just keeps getting typecast as a villain. Perhaps someday he will be able to show the world just how much potential he possesses.
